Pool Filters
All Florida Pool & Spa Center offers a complete line of sand filters, diatomaceous earth filters, and cartridge filters for residential and commercial pool installations. We carry a variety of brands, including Pentair, that offer filters engineered to help keep pools clean and crystal clear, with a minimum of maintenance. They’re built tough to stand up to pool chemicals, corrosion, and the elements, providing years of trouble-free service
Cartridge Filters
Carefree by design
Looking for top-end filter performance with the lowest maintenance? Look at a cartridge filter. This long proven design uses special filter elements to strip particles from pool water with great effectiveness…particles as small as 1025 microns in size (particles smaller than 40 microns cannot be seen by the human eye). Maintenance is easy? Oopen the top, . rRemove the cartridge . hHose it off. tThat’s it.
But all cartridge filters aren’t the same. And the secret to the most effective filters is the design and consistency of the cartridge itself. Are the materials manufactured for the utmost consistency of all surfaces to block and trap the maximum amount of solids? Are the most durable materials used to maximize the cartridge’s life? Is maximum surface area designed in to capture the most dirt and provide the longest periods between cleanings?
These filters feature cartridges made to demanding specifications under the strictest quality control standards to make certain they produce the cleanest and clearest water while standing up for the long run.. If sized properly, these filters usually require only monthly cleaning. In some cases, when the filter is oversized, it may only require cleaning when the pressure on the filter gauge rises 10psi from the normal clean starting pressure. Cartridge filters typical can filter particles as small as 20 microns ( 1 micron = 1 millionth of a meter).

Sand Filters
Setting the standard for water quality and long life
Sand filters are one of the most popular ways to filter water. For good reasons. They are simple, effective, and require very little attention. Pool water is routed through a sand-filled pressure vessel.
Over time, dirt accumulates in the spaces between the sand particles, causing the pressure in the vessel to rise as water finds it harder to pass through. This signals you to “backwash” the filter. Simply reverse the water flow and “knock out” the dirt. What could be simpler?
But all sand filters are not created equal. For optimum filtration, all the water must flow through the same amount of sand at the proper rate. That’s why our sand filters feature a special internal design that keeps the sand bed level, ensures even water flow, and results in the most efficient filtration possible.. They use a sand or sand pea/gravel mix to filter pool water. These types of filters are easy to maintain and clean. These filters use a backwash valve to reverse the flow of water thru the sand and out of the pool.

D.E. Filters
Trap more dirt. Clean less often.
Filtering with diatomaceous earth (D.E.) not only results not just in clean water, but water that really sparkles. That’s because D.E. filters remove particles as small as 3-5 microns.
Even though particles smaller than 40 microns can’t be seen with the naked eye, large quantities of these microscopic contaminants have a very noticeable effect on water clarity. And D.E. strips them away. D.E. filters not only filter better, they can make your life easier…if two goals are met. First, is to maximize the filtration area. Because more filter area means much longer periods between cleanings.
Second, is to design a system that requires the least amount of pumping power to achieve a needed flow rate. Because lower pumping power means lower utility costs.
That’s why all of our D.E. filters feature curved D.E. grids to maximize surface area. It’s why their internal design has been refined over decades to absolutely minimize flow restrictions and will give you the best pool water clarity.

All these filters are available for your pool. Put it requires that they be sized properly. The larger the filter the better your pool will look.
